MUMBAI : In the show, Nima Denzongpa, a girl from Sikkim, falls in love with a Marathi guy and moves to another state to be with him. After a 20-year gap, it is shown that Nima has been raising three daughters while working in the Goenka household .

Nima's mother learns the truth and tells her to do what she feels right. Nima chooses the love and goes to Mumbai, where she faces many insults. Suresh's mother, Sunita has fixed a relationship for him. But, Suresh managed to marry Nima in a court. Later, Sunita pretends to accept Nima to save her reputation.
The show narrates the story of Neema Denzongpa, a girl from the Northeast, who faces discrimination and racism in Mumbai. This is Surabhi Das’s first project in Hindi television. She has already gained fame through her performance in the Assamese serial Parineeta. The show premiered on 23 August 2021. It is being made under the banner of Peninsula Pictures.
