What were your thoughts when you were offered the role? What made you say yes?
Not everyone knows about the story of Garud and the world of characters that he brings with him. It takes you back in time and the tales are really enticing. It intrigued me the most that such a rich story is still so unknown and unheard. I didn't have to think twice before I said yes to the role. Vinta is a very pure character and her simplicity really attracts me. It feels good to play a role that gives me so much positivity. The story, the character of Vinta, the entire crew, everything was so perfect and I am very grateful for this role.
How challenging is it to do a historical show?
It is very challenging to do a historical show. Probably, because we cannot add anything from our own imagination. It needs to be as accurate and authentic as ever. The viewers will lose interest if the show starts to add elements that are historically incorrect. Additionally, it is a different experience shooting for a mythological show. With the costumes and the chroma floor, everything is different and I think more than challenging, it's thrilling. It takes more effort to do a mythological show, from the diction to the body language, and I hope our efforts pay off and the viewers like it.
What kind of preparations did you do for your role?
As I said, doing a mythological show is very different. I had to work on my language and diction as the Hindi spoken on the show is very pure. I had to learn Vinta's body language and improvise accordingly. Everything is a cakewalk once you like what you do and in my case, I really am enjoying essaying Vinta.
