Actor turned producer Javed Jaffrey is the recipient of the national award for his film titled Inshallah Kashmir. This film sensitively highlights the frustrations of a young Kashmiri footballer in his efforts to acquire a passport against the backdrop of socio political turmoil in the region.
Talking to Moviechakkar Jaffery said, "Last year we made Inshallah Football and it won the National Award. This year we have been nominated for Inshallah Kashmir - a film on the Kashmir conflict. Nobody makes films with an intention to win awards, but of course, winning the National Award for two consecutive years is a very happy feeling
