While we lauded those who took efforts to look good and walk the red carpet, now, we will pin-point on actors and actresses who committed the red carpet ‘sin’ of dressing up dismally. Let’s check out the Telly Awards ‘faux pas’ list (arranged alphabetically): Disha Vakani- Yes, she is an actress par excellence, but her yellow, blue, purple and God knows so many mixed coloured bandhani saree was an absolute eye sore. And the blouse looked old and archaic. Disha…Google for the word ‘style’. Dimple Jhangiani- When it’s a red carpet, let’s get a gown…is the usual understanding of the actors. But Dimple, you got it all wrong. The dress did not fit you well and the see through stomach portion, not happening. Better try next time. Imam Siddiqui- Okay, here is someone who is supposed to be a stylist and all, but what he wore at the awards, made him look like some rowdy rathore…we hope you get what we mean. Imam, you can do a lot better. Jasveer Kaur- Jasveer…what on earth did you wear for the awards? That saree (not a bandhini yet again) is all but wrong for the event. The blue and red combo is so uncool. And the yellow purse, wow, you disappoint us. Kamya Punjabi- Kamya, we would agree that you were not entirely a disaster in terms of dressing up, but we expect a lot out of you. Your attire was too casual for the event, had a touch of mundane and looked like a night gown. We would call you under dressed. Kashmera Shah- Too much black and the stockings could have been done with. Kashmeera, you are a diva and next time, dress like one. It’s a red carpet not a Halloween night. Moon Moon Dutta- Moon Moon, did you come out straight from the sets of some 80s movie where a disco song was being shot with Mithun Chakraborty? Common, your dress was too flashy for the evening. Ever heard of the word classy and subtle? Seema Mishra- Seema, are you kidding us? That blue trouser with a loose weird looking orange top and geeky specs…horrible. Spare us. Shailesh Lodha- Mr Lodha, got out for a picnic and ended up on the red carpet of Telly Awards? Grab a suit next time. Vikrant Massey- Kurtas can make one look ‘intellectual’, but Massey, you didn’t come to shoot for an art film. It’s an awards function, look dapper the next time. You are one good looking man and do justice to it. Let us know your thoughts on the list. Hit the comment section below.
