MUMBAI : Gagan Arora in a recent interview opened up about what matters to him as an actor and what he looks for before accepting a role. He is currently a part of College romance season 3.
College Romance is an Indian Hindi-language web series created by The Viral Fever and developed by Arunabh Kumar. It stars Keshav Sadhna, Apoorva Arora, Manjot Singh, Gagan Arora and Shreya Mehta. It follows three best friends Karan, Naira and Trippy. They live for love, laughs and some lifelong memories while attending college together.
Before his acting debut, Arora worked as an assistant director on Amar Kaushik's 2018 film Stree.He made his acting debut with The Viral Fever's College Romance (2018), for which he received praise from critics and the audience. He subsequently starred in The Viral Fever's series Girls Hostel (2018–2021), Basement Company (2020) and 4 Thieves (2020).
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know some interesting insights.
It’s been a long journey on the show College Romance since season 1 till now, but what is the one thing that has stuck with you?
“It’s the friendship of the cast that hasn’t changed over the course of time. I don’t think any of us have been insecure about any other person on camera. On the contrary, we are people who would go out of our way to make the other person comfortable. The kind of joy we feel by just being together and we can go on talking about things. We all just love each other”
What do you think about before you choose a script?
“The first thing I see is the director. It matters to me a lot as I have to be with that person and his vision for a minimum of 3 months. I need to know that the person has given it a thought and it’s not just out of luxury that he has gotten the project and will fluke it on his way. The second and last thing I look at is my character’s contribution to the script.”
Does the screen time matter to you?
“I don’t mind playing a 2 minute role in a film but it needs to be of an impactful value so that it turns around the story somehow. Until and unless I am contributing to the whole story, I wouldn’t want to be a part of it”
The third season of College Romance is set to release soon and Gagan Arora is one of the actors who are immensely loved by the audience.
