MUMBAI : Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is one of the top most shows of Indian television. The ratings are exceptionally good and the audience love the track of the show and the chemistry of Virat and Pakhi.
Vihaan Verma plays the role of Mohit Chavan, Virat’s cousin. The audience loves him for his character.
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights.
What do you think about the current track of the show?
“The plot currently is very interesting! Sai has gotten arrested, while Virat and the family realize that Savi is his child. To an extent, Virat’s behavior is not justified but as a father, it was an impulsive decision that he bring Savi home. There are a lot of camaraderies that are being seen between Sai and Savi, as well as Savi and Virat, and all the family members. It is quite the high point of the show.”
What were your thoughts about the time when Savi was snatched away from Sai?
“When I actually saw the episode, it was genuinely emotional to see because this is something that doesn’t really happen on a daily basis, as in a father coming to know about his daughter after so many years. At the same time from the audience’s perspective, it felt bad that he had to snatch his own daughter away. It was quite an emotional journey. For so long, Virat was away from his wife and child. On top of that, later he thought that Sai is having an affair with Jagtap and then finally he comes to know that Savi is his own daughter. Everyone has done a fabulous job from Neil, Ayesha, Siddharth and Aishwarya. It feels good to see such layers and it is the type of situation where everyone is right in their own place.”
There have been mixed reactions from the audience towards Virat and Pakhi as a pair. What are your thoughts about them as a pair?
“Honestly, I like Virat with Pakhi as well as with Sai. Virat and Sai have been seen together for a long time but now post the leap, things have changed. But the way Pakhi’s character has changed, she has become so accepting and unlike earlier, she now thinks from the other person’s perspective. Otherwise she used to think only from her perspective, that she is facing the loss and she is the one being cheated on or led on by Virat. I feel that now the reactions are more justified. Audience has all the rights to react the way they want. Certain sections will like Virat and Sai and certain will like him with Pakhi. It all depends on how the story goes and how the writers justify each and everything that the characters are doing. It also becomes a huge factor that Virat and Pakhi are a couple off-screen so the audience feel more connected to them. Either way, fans love all the characters in the show and have gotten attached to them.”
