Akhlaque Khan wins the Best Actor Award in the St. Tropez International Film Festival

Akhlaque Khan
Akhlaque Khan who plays the sweet, endearing and innocent Tanmay Vyas in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, had never thought that his movie ? (the movie title which in words is ‘question mark’ expressed in numerical in the title) would ultimately lead him to feel an ! (exclamation mark). Herein we are referring to an exclamation mark of joy. He recently won the award as ‘The Best Lead Actor’ in the St. Tropez International Film Festival. The film was directed by Yash Dave and Alison Patel. ? was nominated in nine categories and bagged two of those awards- for ‘Best Editor’ and ‘Best Lead Aactor’. There were seven protagonists in the movie (four guys and three girls). Akhlaque played one of the protagonists. This movie was released in India last year and ran for a month in Mumbai. Talking about the project he said, “It is about students of a filmmaking school travelling to a wooded region to shoot for a diploma film. The venue was unspecified in the film. The location was Kodaikanal though. A series of supernatural happenings start off in the secluded jungle shown in the film.” The most obvious question which popped up in our mind was if this film was a remake of The Blair Witch Project. Akhlaque replied, “Though it seems to have similarities with The Blair Witch Project, the treatment is very original. For instance we improvised with the dialogues as there were no dialogue sheets.” We wish this talented young actor all the best in his future career.
