After a bumpy November, here’s how December looks for Bollywood

MUMBAI :  2022 has not been a great year for Bollywood. In November, many films were released and it was expected that maybe audiences will enter theatres as the year is going to end soon. However, that didn’t happen as only Drishyam 2 left a strong mark at the box office. 
 
Last month, 9 Hindi films were released in theatres, Phone Bhoot, Double XL, Mili, Rocket Gang, Uunchai, Thai Massage, Drishyam 2, Mister Mummy, and Bhediya. Only Drishyam 2 became a super hit at the box office, and others didn’t get a great response. While Uunchai and Bhediya did show a good trend over the first weekend, they haven’t got the hit tag. 
 
Now, in December, five films are going to be released in theatres. Check out the list below…

An Action Hero (2nd December)

The first Hindi film to release in theatres in December is An Action Hero. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role, and the pre-release buzz has not been that great. Ayushmann’s last few films didn’t make a mark at the box office, and An Action Hero solely depends on word of mouth. So, let’s wait and watch.

Salaam Venky (9th December)

There’s no doubt that Kajol is one of the most talented actresses we have in the industry and filmmaker Revathy makes beautiful movies. They have teamed up for Salaam Venky and the trailer of the film has grabbed everyone’s attention. But, it will be interesting to see if the movie will get audiences to the theatres.

Vadh (9th December)

One more film which stars super talented actors! We are talking about Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta. The buzz about the movie is very low, but the box office collection cannot be predicted.

Maarrich (9th December)

Tusshar Kapoor will be seen in a movie titled Maarrich in which he plays the role of a cop. The buzz about the film is low, so let’s see what will be the fate of it at the box office.

Cirkus (23rd December)

The only film that we can expect to do exceptionally well this month is Cirkus. It’s a Christmas weekend release, a Rohit Shetty family entertainer plus Ranveer Singh in it; one can say that a blockbuster is on its way.
