MUMBAI : TV actor Gaurav Amlani, known for his role as the grown-up Khande Rao Holkar on Punyashlok Ahilyabai, recently wrapped up shooting for his final track on the show. After joining in September 2021, his role in the show is finally coming to an end and it has left the actor with mixed emotions. Currently, the actor is caught up as he is taking a new step in his life by getting married with long time girlfriend Milloni Kapadia. After their 7-year relationship, the two are ready to start a new life together. Milloni Kapadia is an actress, known for Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. The couple is set to get wedded on 8th December in Mumbai.
As both his stint on the show comes to an end, and he starts his new married life, Gaurav said, “The show has given me a lot. So, I was obviously teary-eyed on the last day. It’s so strange that 12 hours after shooting my death sequence, I was on a flight to Delhi to look into the last-minute arrangements for my marriage.”
The end of his stint on the historical show couldn’t have come at a better time as now he will get to spend quality time with his wife after their marriage. Speaking about his wedding, the actor shares, “I have finally got time to prepare for the big day. It’s a day wedding by the seaside. Milloni and I had always wanted a simple wedding replete with rituals. Rituals matter karte hain, shor sharaabe wali nahi chahiye. In fact, we had originally planned to go for a court marriage.”
The couple had a roka ceremony six months ago, and now they plan to go to Manali for their honeymoon post their wedding. After returning from Manali, they will spend a month in his hometown, Delhi. The big question on everyone’s mind is ‘how did they meet?’ Reminiscing, Gaurav says, “We met in 2015 at a 15-day acting workshop and started dating on the last day. I was drawn towards her instantly and naturally. She is the sweetest soul ever.”
The couple have had their share of spats as well and they almost split up during the pandemic. Gaurav recollects the moment and says, “When COVID-19 struck, I was stuck in Delhi and she was in Mumbai. We couldn’t meet for a year and a half. We didn’t know whether we would be able to survive the patch. I wasn’t sure whether I would return to Mumbai because my father lost his job and I had to support the family. Milloni’s father was apprehensive about the relationship, as I had no work. He wanted me to be financially stable before I married his daughter. Since I had no hope of returning to Mumbai, as acting offers weren’t materialising, I started giving job interviews in Delhi. Suddenly, I was called to Mumbai to finish some patchwork of a web series. That was it. It was the only opportunity to return to the city and spend the New Year with Milloni. This time around, Mumbai welcomed me wholeheartedly. Things started rolling on the professional and personal front. Milloni and our families are proud of my achievement. What more could I have asked for?”
