Exclusive! Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Citadel, "It's tough but it's so fulfilling for a woman to be doing action"

MUMBAI:Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the biggest names down South. But, thanks to her dance number in Pushpa and The Family Man season 2, the actress has slowly making a mark in the Hindi sector as well. 

She is now gearing up for the release of Shaakuntalam which is a Telugu film but it will be dubbed and released in various languages including Hindi. Recently, at the trailer launch event was organised in Mumbai which is attended by Samantha, Dev Mohan, producer Dil Raju and others.

At the trailer launch while talking about the roles that she is doing now, Samantha said, "I feel very privileged with the kind of roles that I am doing right now. At Citadel shoot everyday it is exhilarating work; it's so fulfilling, I am so happy. It's tough but it's so fulfilling for a woman to be doing action and to not have the hero being saving her all the time. So, it's great and it's a new phase for me and I am absolutely enjoying it."

Samantha also spoke about how her life has changed after becoming a pan-India star. She said, "Somebody has to tell my dogs that I am a pan-India star because I still clean all of their poop (laughs). Honestly, I don't think it has changed. I am a star till 6 pm, after that I am extremely normal, and nothing has changed in my head at least."

Shaakuntalam is a slated to release on 14th April 2023. It will be released in 3D as well.
