Exclusive! Garmi actor Puneet Singh says, “It was a big thing for me to get a chance to work with Tigmanshu Dhulia”

MUMBAI:A few days ago, a web series titled Garmi started streaming on Sony LIV. The series is created by Tigmanshu Dhulia and it stars Vyom Yadav, Puneet Singh, Disha Thakur, Pankaj Saraswat, Jatin Goswami, and others. 

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Puneet Singh and spoke to him about the response the series is getting, his experience of working with Tigmanshu Dhulia, and more... 

What response are you getting for Garmi?

I will honestly say that the response has been very good. I didn’t expect this kind of amazing response that we are getting.

How was your experience of working with Tigmanshu Dhulia?

The experience has been very good. Every actor from UP and Bihar, and I feel that actors across the country have a dream to work with directors like Tigmanshu Dhulia, Anurag Kashyap, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Prakash Jha. So, it was a big thing for me to get a chance to work with Tigmanshu Dhulia. It was actually like a two years acting course in FTII.

When season 1 gets a great response, makers plan a season 2. So, is season 2 of Garmi happening?

Yes, there are talks about season 2. At the end, you will see that my character, who is in a coma, comes back to his senses and the series ends. So, season 2 will start from there. We haven’t shot for season 2 yet but I will pray to god that as reviews of season 1 are good, season 2 happens soon.
