Aastha Choudhary the face of Sony’s popular show Babul Ka Aangan was hospitalised this week. The actress who was diagnosed with malaria has been discharged from hospital only this afternoon. When an actor working in a daily is laid low the production house and the channel are almost on the verge of a breakdown as shooting gets stalled. But thanks to their good planning it was not the case with Babul…and fans will not face the nightmare of seeing repeats of the show. The channel has a dependable bank of episodes and hence the show goes on. “We have a bank of about 6-7 episodes so that there is no panic if anybody is sick or cannot come due to some reason for the shoot,” says producer Ratna Sinha Talking about Aastha’s health she says, “Aastha has been discharged only today. She is not completely fit so we’ll start the shoot from day after tomorrow with her. Till then it’s better for her to rest for two days.” Aastha had a severe bout of malaria which led to brain fever. “Today the doctors have given me permission to go home but with that they have advised me complete bed rest for 2-3 days. After that again I’ll have to go for a blood test,” says Aastha “Doctors have told me to be careful and if I get fever again I should rush back to the hospital as there are chances of this dreadful disease hitting back,” she adds further. Aastha’s mother is down from her hometown Alwar in Rajasthan to take care of her but will go in a couple of days. “After that my friend will take care of me,” concludes the actress. Great learning lessons here. Hope other production houses go the same way.
