MUMBAI:    2022 was not just a bad year for Bollywood, but even many South films tanked at the box office. But, there was one Telugu movie that had become the talk of the town when it was released. We are talking about Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur starrer Sita Ramam. 

The romantic film received positive reviews and Dulquer and Mrunal’s performance in it was appreciated a lot. While it was a Telugu movie, it was dubbed and released in Tamil and Malayalam, and after the film got a good response in South Indian languages, it was released in Hindi as well.

Sita Ramam was reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 30 crore. At the domestic box office the movie collected Rs. 65.49 crore in all languages. So, if we look at the budget of the film and the box office collection, then Sita Ramam was a superhit at the box office.

While Mrunal made her Telugu debut with the film, it was Dulquer’s second Tollywood movie, still both of them got the audiences to the theaters, proving that good content always works well at the box office.

Sita Ramam has surely opened the doors for Mrunal down South. She will be seen in Nani’s next and everyone is excited to watch this fresh jodi on the big screens.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan will be seen in the Malayalam film King of Kotha.
