MUMBAI: Manoj Bajpayee starrer Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi, which was released on OTT a few days ago, has been getting a great response. Adrija Sinha plays the female lead in the movie, and her performance in the film has impressed one and all. Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi is based on a real-life incident where a godman was accused of sexually assaulting a minor. Adrija played the role of the victim in the film.

What is the best compliment that you have received post the release of Bandaa?
The best compliment I have received post the release of Bandaa is that my portrayal was so realistic that every time I cried or narrated my story in the court, people felt connected to me and cried with me. Some of them even said that we got goosebumps every time we watched you perform. That is a very big compliment, thank you for your blessings and love.
How important do you think it is to bring such powerful stories to the audience?
Such content driven powerful stories need to be told to the audiences and ought to be carried to the forefront firstly because it is so socially relevant, it deals with so many themes, like it highlights the power of an ordinary man to fight for truth, the strength of a young girl who despite relentless opposition stands her ground. Today our audience likes to watch real, heart touching stories that add a positive impact on society. They don't care who the stars are, just the actors and the story decide it all so that is why content driven stories should be told and the audience should watch it.
What is your biggest takeaway from Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai?
My biggest takeaway from Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is that regardless of how powerful the evil is, truth will always find its way and emerge victorious so always stick to what's right in your life.
