RIP! Debutant Malayalam director Baiju Paravur passes away ahead of his film’s release; family suspects food poisoning

MUMBAI :In a tragic turn of events, 42 year old Malayalam production controller and filmmaker Baiju Paravur passed away on Monday. He was working on his directorial debut film ‘Secret’ when things took a turn for the worse. As per reports, Baiju had consumed a meal at a hotel in Kozhikode. While he was busy in discussions, he began to feel some discomfort.

He returned to Kunnamkulam and visited his wife’s house, where he also saw a doctor for fever and physical discomfort. He then returned to his home in Paravur on Sunday. His condition however kept deteriorating and he was admitted to Kuzhupilli and then to a private hospital in Kochi. Sadly he passed away on Monday morning.
Baiju has provided production to over 45 films and his popular works include Dhanyam, Maithili, and Kaitholachathan.


Baiju is survived by his wife, Chitra, and their two children, daughter Aaradhya and son Aarav.
