MUMBAI: Shivin Narang is a well known name in the Television world. He is not part of any reality shows - every year the handsome hunk’s name gets dragged several times to many popular reality shows. But the actor is not doing any reality shows. Shivin, who has come a long way since his initial days, is also doing exceptionally well in music videos.

After appearing in music videos like Dil Zaffran, Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi, Sunn Zara, Fakira, Dooriyan, Bas Ek Tera Main Hoke, Main Tera Ho Gaya, Musafir, Barsaat Ho Jaaye Shivin’s was seen in Jahan Base Dil.
Speaking about how the OTT platform has come up in recent times, the actor said, “I feel that it’s not entirely true that we cannot make a film without OTT platforms. However, at present, the kind of films people want to watch and the quality they are accustomed to, especially from international shows, require a certain budget. The current theater recoveries are not sufficient.”
Shivin is all set to make his digital debut with the series Criminal Minds which also stars Tamannaah Bhatia. He said, “This is where the role of OTT platforms becomes significant. The business and viewership are similar, but half the audience now watches movies on OTT, while the other half is cinemagoers. This division in the audience exists. Therefore, both cinema and OTT need each other. Films need OTT platforms, and OTT platforms need films to be produced.”

Speaking of what he likes better OTT or films in cinema halls, Shivin says, “The experience is distinctly different in each setting. While cinema halls offer a grander experience, watching movies at home also has its unique charm. The preference depends on the type of experience one desires.”
Shivin has been part of films like Goodbye and shows like Suvreen Guggal – Topper of The Year, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera, Internet Wala Love, Beyhadh 2 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 10.
