MUMBAI: Sony Sab’s 'Dhruv Tara' is a romantic drama that revolves around Dhruv and Tara, who are from two different eras. Tara, a princess from the 17th century, travels through time and arrives in the present day, where she meets Dhruv.
At the onset, the show unveils 17th century Princess Tarapriya (played by Riya Sharma) who is a secret Vaidya, her brother Prince Mahaveer (Krishna Bharadwaj), and their father, King Udaybhaan (Yash Tonk). Meanwhile, in the present day, Dhruv (played by Ishaan Dhawan) is seen in Agra near the Taj Mahal when an unidentified dupatta from the 17th century lands on him. The week also showcases how Tara’s mother Rani Kanupriya (played by Narayani Shashtri) advises Tara to travel into the 21st century to find a cure for her brother’s illness.

Previously, Senapati feels the presence of Dhruv around him. Tara is confused listening to their conversation. Tara realises that Dhruv is not dead. Mahaveer comes and tells her the truth and how he saved Dhruv. Tara plots a plan but a Dasi goes and informs everything to Senapati.
Later, Senapati Samrat keeps hallucinating Dhruv and screams that if Dhruv has guts, he should talk to him face-to-face. Senapati Samrat tries to take validation from Vaidya Ji while Dhruv and Tara indicate to him not to take Samrat's side.
Interestingly, Senapati Samrat overhears Mahaveer and Maharani’s conversation and gets so angry that he decides to take revenge. So Senapati Samrat reaches the wedding venue, and everyone is shocked. Eventually, Dhruv and Tara succeed in their plan and Senapati Samrat gets exposed in front of Maharaj, leaving the latter shocked. Therefore, Maharaj gets furious with Senapati Samrat and gives him a punishment. Senapati Samrat is furious and warns Dhruv and Tara. He informs Maharani and Tara that he will never tell anyone about Ravi’s location. Both Maharani and Tara are shocked.
Now, as the wedding festivities of Dhruv and Tara commence, unexpected challenges arise, casting a shadow over the joyous occasion. Maharishi delivers a startling revelation to Maharaj and all present, stating that Dhruv and Tara are not meant to be wed.
