MUMBAI: Sahil Khattar has been a part of movies like 200 Halla Ho and 83. He will next be seen in OTT series Bajao which also marks his web series debut. The series also stars Tanuj Virwani, Raftaar, Sahil Vaid, and Mahira Sharma.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Sahil and spoke to him about the series, what made him say yes to it and more...
Tell us something about your upcoming series Bajao.
Bajao is about these three friends who get a rapper out of a bad situation and make his comeback. The rapper is down and out, and we make a music video for it. We are the facilitators of the situation, and it’s based in the background of North hip-hop culture music. It’s a fantastic series and whacked out comedy, and it will entertain you in every way possible.
What made you say yes to the series?
When they told me that you are one of the main leads, I was sold (laughs) because everybody wants a good concept and the storyline, and the writing to be perfect. I have wanted to act since 200 Halla Ho; I always wanted to take acting forward, and that’s what I did with Bajao. I am really looking forward to the response my character is going to get.
Rapper Raftaar is making his acting debut with the series. So, did you give him any tips?
No, what tip I will give to him. When it comes to music, he is my senior. We know each other and we have seen each other growing, and now, we have worked together. Also, this is my web series debut, before this I haven’t done any series, so I wanted to make it special. I used to always think that a concept like Pyaar Ka Punchnama or Fukrey will come to me, and Bajao is right up the alley.
Bajao is slated to release on 25th August 2023.
