MUMBAI: Natural star Nani started his career with the 2008 release Ashta Chamma, and has been a part of many famous Tamil and Telugu movies. He is currently one of the biggest stars down South, and moviegoers look forward to his films. Well, Hindi moviegoers have also watched the dubbed versions of Nani’s movies and they are keen to watch him in a Bollywood film.

As per reports, Thalaivar 170, which stars Rajnikanth was offered to Nani but he turned it down. The film will also feature Amitabh Bahchan, reuniting him with Rajnikanth after decades. Reportedly Nani was offered to play a negative role and due to the unusual nature of the role and keeping his heroic image, the actor turned it down.
The role has now gone to actor Sharwanand but this is yet to be confirmed. Thalaivar 170 is based on a true story and Rajnikanth will play the role of a cop. Reportedly Chiyaan Vikram was also offered the role of an antagonist in the film but he too turned it down.
