Niveen A Ramani who was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat is excited about his role in the first episode of Channel [V]’s upcoming Gumrah season 3, produced by Lost Boy Productions and Balaji Telefilms. The guy plays the role of a Haryanvi boy who is troubled by the conservative behaviour of his villagers according to which nobody can marry from outside their cast. At this juncture, he falls in love with a girl who happens to come from another place. His friends instigate him saying that the girl is in love with him, and force him to rape her so that they get united. However, before the village panchayat takes the decision of getting them married, the police intervene and beat up the guy. We hear that while shooting for this particular sequence, Niveen got himself injured. However, the actor went on and finished his shoot with full zest and energy. Talking about his experience to Tellychakkar.com, Niveen said, “I had the best of time shooting for Gumrah. Actually the makers of Gumrah, I hear, have a rule wherein they do not repeat their actors. I am sad about it, as I want to shoot with them again and again (smiles).” On his injury, the actor stated, “Well, in a particular action sequence I got a cut on my upper lip. Then I sprained my ankle, and had bruises all over the body. We had a continuous outdoor shoot at Wai, and even though I was injured I enjoyed shooting for every scene. I have done it all in the action sequence; I had to jump into a lake, had an extensive running sequence and a fight sequence too.” Niveen will feature in the first episode of Gumraah Season 3, which will launch on 7 July 2013 at the 7 PM slot on Channel [V].
