What! Man arrested from Gujarat for making the Rs 1 crore extortion call to the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav

MUMBAI : Well-known YouTuber Elvish Yadav is overjoyed after winning Bigg Boss OTT 2. He entered the Bigg Boss house as a wild card contestant, and by being the first wild card contestant to win the competition, he created television history. The YouTuber has won 25 lakhs and took the trophy home. He had grabbed headlines for his friendship with Abhishek Malhan, Manisha Rani, Ashika Bhatia and Jiya Shankar.

Elvish is currently in the news for receiving an extortion call from an unidentified number demanding Rs 1 Crore. The matter was brought to the Gurugram police on October 25. After receiving the extortion call, Elvish filed a police report in Sector 53 in Gurugram against an unidentified individual. Regarding the matter and the call, Elvish has not yet responded. 

The Gurugram police has now arrested a man from Gujarat for making the extortion call to Elvish. Varun Dahiya ACP Crime Branch said, "Gurugram Police with cooperation from Gujarat Police has arrested one Shakir Makrani, a resident of Vadnagar. He was influenced by Yadav; to earn money he made this plan to make extortion call."

Shakir Makrani, a resident of Vadnagar was arrested with the help of the Gujarat police.

The accused was said to be influenced by Elvish Yadav to earn money and thus made the extortion call. Elvish is yet to release a statement on the arrest.
