Exclusive! “I screamed sitting at home on the phone” – Manjari Fadnnis on how she took the accident scene in the first part of The Freelancer

In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Manjari Fadnnis talked about the audience's expectations, her initial reaction to the role, and much more.

MUMBAI: ‘The Freelancer’ starring Mohit Raina, Kashmira Pardeshi, and Anupam Kher is about an extraction mission where a girl is held captive in the war-torn hostile environment of Syria, and her escape from the world of death.

It also stars Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji and Navneet Malik, Manjiri Faddnis, and Sarah Jane Dias amongst others.

The series is based on the book – ‘A Ticket to Syria’ by Shirish Thorat. It is directed by Bhav Dhulia, and produced by Friday Storytellers and Neeraj Pandey is the creator and showrunner. The book attempts to share the story about the insidious operations of the Islamic State, and how the terror group has perfected a cross-country operation that converts thousands to a depraved cause.

While season 1 of the series was left on a cliffhanger, now, the series is coming back with the second season, The Freelancer – The Conclusion. The series is going to show how Avinash will finally go on an extraction mission and save Aleeya from danger.

Now, in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Manjari Fadnnis talked about the audience's expectations, her initial reaction to the role, and much more.

What can the audience expect this time?

To this, Manjari Fadnnis said that since the first part got such an amazing response from the audience, there’s going to be a lot of thrill, it’s going to be fast-paced and edgy and a lot of fun, and that’s what the people can expect.

In the first part, there was an accident scene. How did you take it?

To this, Manjari Fadnnis said that when she asked about her character for why she mentally disturbed, she was then narrated this whole scene and she screamed while sitting at home on the call as it was very overwhelming that the mother was responsible for the death of her child

What was your initial reaction to the role and the series?

To this, Manjari Fadnnis said that it was Neeraj Pandey’s project, a great script with a great team as she wanted to work with Friday Storytellers since the time they made A Wednesday. Praising Neeraj Pandey, Manjari said that every single project that came from Neeraj Pandey’s camp has been an absolute entertainer and thriller.
