MUMBAI: Coming from Rohit Shetty Cop UInver, ott series Indian Police Force has been grabbing the attention of the fans ever since it was announced, the series has great names like Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vivek Oberoi, Mukesh Rishi, Shweta Ashok Tiwari, Mrinal Ruchir Kulkarni, Nikitin Dheer, Mayyank Taandon, Vaidehi Parashurami, Sharad Kelkar, Ritu Raj Singh, Isha Talwar. The series, indeed it one of the many projects of the year and one of the biggest oon digital platforms.
The series is directed by Rohit Shetty, Sushwanth Prakash and produced under the banner Rohit Shetty Picturez, Reliance Entertainment, it has finally hit the ott platform amazon prime video and here is the complete review of the series.
Talking about the premise of the series it deals with the covert operation conducted by the brave officers of Delhi police to hunt a terrorist down, this terrorist in India’s most wanted one and hunt him down come together Kabir played by Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Shetty played by Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Vikram played by Vivek Oberoi, well what difficulties and challenges they have go through is something shows in the series.
The screenplay of the series is strictly average, and the locations covered are amazing. The beautiful part of the series has to do with the direction given by blockbuster director Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash. The story lacks freshness and the treatment of the story is the same as old.
One of the major elements of the series has to be the performances coming from ever actor,it was great to see actor Sidharth Malhotra as the Delhi cop, he has delivered a good performer as the intense police officer, on the other hand actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra fails to create a solid mark and was strictly average, it was great to see as the senior cop, well actor Vivek Oberoi os one of the take away from the series, and he has shined again as the intense senior cop in the series. On the other hand actors Mukesh Rishi, Shweta Ashok Tiwari, Mrinal Ruchir Kulkarni, Nikitin Dheer were decent on their part. Mayyank Taandon as the main villain shines and he was good, also Vaidehi Parashurami, Sharad Kelkar, Ritu Raj Singh, Isha Talwar were a treat to watch.
The positive point of the series has to be the action which are threat to see in the Rohit Shetty movies, that magic and the touch has been felt here too, also the performances coming from every actor is a treat to watch and are important element of the series, also the BGM of the series especially the title music always grabs the attention and elevates your series watching experience. The elements of patriotism is to the point and surely there are few Goosebumps moments in the series.
Having all these plus points there are more of the negative points, the screenplay of the series is average, there is nothing that the show offers in terms of story line, it is the same wine offred in the packaged bottle, Rohit Shetty’s new offering lacks in story, we have been watching stories over the time now. Also there is unnecessary use of abusive language in a few scenes which surely were not needed. The hype of the series was great and it is said to be a part of the cop universe but unfornately it is the weakest of all as it lacks soul and because of its poor and old story line. Unfortunately we were expecting more of the actor Vivek Oberoi in the series which was not the case and is one of the major leads for the series.
Apart from all these points Indian Police Force is a strictly average content to consume, you may love only if you are hardcore fan of these actor and of Rohit Shetty movies, content wise it has nothing new to offer and lacks originality.
Team TellyChakkar goes with 2.5/5 for Indian Police Force.
