MUMBAI: A few months ago, Niharika Konidela startled everyone by declaring her split from Chaitanya Jonnalagadda. For those who don't know, she is Ram Charan's cousin and the niece of superstar Chiranjeevi. Many were taken aback by the news. Niharika finally opened up about her difficult separation and said that she still cries for the first time. Chaitanya, her ex-husband, referred to her account as "one-sided."

On December 9, 2020, at a spectacular wedding in Udaipur, Niharika Konidela wed Chaitanya JV. However, after a year of dating, rumors about problems in their marriage circulated in the press. In July 2023, the ex-couple made their split official. Although the pair kept quiet about their split, Niharika initially discussed it in a podcast with Nikhil Vijayendra Simha.

Niharika revealed that she is in a phase of trying to put first her needs and make herself available to her parents. She also disclosed her constant reliance on her parents. She went on to say that it has been two years since her divorce, and only she is aware of the suffering she has suffered. Niharika further disclosed that while some people make fun of her for getting divorced, her father, Nagababu, never gave a damn about what people thought.

She says, "I am thankful I have a father like Nagababu who said he doesn't care what anyone thinks and that I'm the best thing to happen to him, I deserve to be happy. My divorce has shown me the value of family."

Niharika also mentioned that she "cried a lot" and discovered that it's best to never trust anybody. She continued by saying that although she had thought her marriage would last a lifetime, it had not worked out that way for her.

According to quotes, she said, "Everyone gets married hoping it's for a lifetime, but things weren t what I expected. I am only 30, I haven't closed off my heart to love. But first, I want to be independent and work on myself before committing to a relationship. For now, m single."

Even though Chaitanya wasn't on the podcast, he made sure that his story was heard. He made a direct response to Nikhil on his show rather than referring to his ex-wife Niharika. Chaitanya made it very apparent that the interviewer ought to give up on trying to paint their marriage with the victim's label. He went on to say that both sides have experienced the same amount of pain when things don't work out and the healing process.

According to Chaitanya, the idea behind keeping the divorce quiet is to avoid interfering with or upsetting either party's healing process. His statement is as follows, "You should stop trying to use the reach and platform to indirectly try and attach tags of victim and cause with respect to the marriage. This is the second time this is happening. The pain of things not working out and the process and ordeal of healing is the same for both the ends. The concept of not talking about the divorce, and especially just one side of it, is there to not interfere or rupture that healing again for either of the people involved. Talking about the pain in aftermath and healing is fine, that will help people."

Niharika ended rumors about her divorce in July 2023 by posting an Instagram confirmation. In a letter, she informed her followers that she and Chaitanya Jonnalagadda were no longer together and asked them to respect their privacy.
