MUMBAI: Ram Charan, the popular Telugu actor, and his spouse Upasana Konidela come from diverse backgrounds. Ram Charan is the famous actor Chiranjeevi's son, whereas Upasana is from a family of doctors and business owners. Upasana recently disclosed in an interview that she was first uncomfortable with some of the scenes Ram Charan did with movie heroines. However, as time went on, she learned more about his line of work.

Even though Upasana and Ram Charan dated for years before getting married, she said in an interview with Galatta Ritz that she had trouble understanding Ram Charan's work at first.
“Like every woman, I’ve sometimes asked him if he needed to do certain scenes with heroines. I’m like, ‘Come on, what is this?’” she said.
“But he’s like, ‘Please understand, this is my profession and this is what happens’. He explained the technicalities and now everything is fine. Initially, I didn’t understand; we came from two different worlds. But there’s no one he has better chemistry with than me, he looks the best with me,” she added.
In June 2023, Ram and Upasana were fortunate to welcome a daughter, Klin Kaara. Upasana disclosed in the interview that Klin is a total daddy's girl. She says, “Power comes from the heart and I think we both play a significant role in parenting. Whatever a mom is expected to do, I think the dad is doing more than that. We’re equally raising Kara, it’s beautiful. Ram is a hands-on dad. She’s a daddy’s girl, and I am extremely jealous. When she sees her dad, her face lights up. There’s a special smile, a twinkle in her eyes, and I’m like, come on.” Professionally, Ram's upcoming release is the film Game Changer, directed by Shankar. He will appear in the movie with Kiara Advani.
