Sidharth Malhotra shares fond memories of his first paycheck from an advertisement; Says ‘Uss waqt humare waqt ki itni hi keemat thi’

MUMBAI : Among the most attractive and accomplished actors working today is Sidharth Malhotra. With his outstanding performance, the talented hunk has captivated everyone. With his ability to act, Sidharth has left his mark on his fans' hearts in a variety of genres, including romantic comedies, patriotic pictures, and intense action flicks.

Even though he is a total stranger in the film industry, he has established himself as one of the most sought-after performers of his generation. Sidharth married actress Kiara Advani.

Sidharth Malhotra went down memory lane during an interview with the popular news portal Rising Bharat Summit, recalling how and when he received his first paycheck. He said that he was inspired to pursue acting by an acting agency.

Sidharth continued, saying that he used to model for designer clothing when he was just between the ages of 20 and 21. Later on, he worked on an advertising campaign for Samsung, a mobile phone manufacturer, and received his first income of between Rs. 2,500-Rs. 3000.

He stated, “That journey has its own hardships. It wasn’t this easy. I was 20-21 years old when I went for an audition on the recommendation of an agency. They had seen my face in the paper. I used to do fashion modeling, walks, so my photograph would appear in the paper in designer clothes. I had done an advertisement for a Samsung mobile campaign. They wanted a girl and a boy. My first pay cheque was of Rs 2500 or Rs 3000. Uss waqt humare waqt ki itni hi keemat thi.”

As the debate continued, Sidharth Malhotra mentioned that, in the past, individuals who had the same aspirations of becoming actors would often wind up going to production houses to train as assistant directors. Sidharth further disclosed that he was able to secure a position as an assistant director on Karan Johar's set for the movie My Name Is Khan.

He revealed, “I went straight to production houses, not as an actor but Assistant Director. I made that shift. Those three months determined my path today. I met teams of ADs, who were working in big films. If there are 5 ADs in a film, then the 5th one would be an intern, which means that he doesn’t get paid well or doesn’t get paid at all. I was vouching for that part. I got a film My Name Is Khan. Out of 8 ADs, I was something in the middle, on the 5th spot.”

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s real-life romance blossomed on the sets of their first film together, Shershaah. Previously, during an interview with the popular news portal, the actor answered the much-awaited request of his fans to see him collaborating with his wifey, Kiara again on-screen. To this, the actor remarked that while he would want to work with Kiara again.

Nevertheless, it ultimately depended on the filmmakers to cast them together. Moreover, at the end of it, Sidharth remarked that he would definitely take the proposal back home to his wife, Kiara Advani.

In a previous media appearance shortly after his marriage, Sidharth Malhotra sweetly referred to his wife Kiara Advani as his most important person. In addition, he mentioned several anecdotes from his married life as well as the most important lesson he had ever learned from it.

He stated, “Marriage is also a game. I have realised that there is no ‘I’ in a marriage. There is only ‘we’. That is life."
