In their Thirunakkara home, close to Ernakulam Lissi-Pulleppadi Street, PC Saraswati was laid out for public view. The funeral was held in the Ravipuram crematorium later that day at 5:00 PM, where friends and family performed their last rites.

Meanwhile, Jyothirmayi, who is known for her unforgettable appearances on the screen, has withdrawn from the spotlight for some time. Her last film appearance was in the family drama Housefull which was released in 2013. The family drama film, directed by Linson Antony and screenplay by Shiju Nambiath, starred the actress Tini Tom in the lead role. The film was not a great success at the box office, although the comedy-drama received good reviews from the audience due to its simple plot and acting performances.

Recently, she was seen in a grey-mottled look and her pictures went viral on social media. The pictures were taken at the Alumni Meeting of the Kerala Media Academy. They caused a stir on the Internet in a very short time. The Kerala Media Academy has put the photos online. The caption of the article reads “When actress Jyotirmayi came to the alumni meeting of the Kerala Media Academy”. Social media users have commented on the post. One user wrote: “You look spectacular. Thank you for inspiring us.” Another user added: “What a beauty. Your personality sets you apart from others. Stay the way you are.”

Jyothirmayi started as a model and serial artist before being well-known for her role in Suresh Krishnan's Malayalam soap opera Indraneelam. She made the transition to full-length films after a brief and fruitless stint as a guest star in television movies.

She had a supporting part in her debut movie, Pilots (2000), which was a box office flop. She rose to fame following the release of Meesa Madhavan (2002), costarring alongside Dileep. She tied the knot with Nishanth Kumar on September 6, 2004. The couple filed for divorce six years later, and on the first, things changed. In October 2011 it was granted. On April 4, 2015, she wed Amal Neerad, a cameraman and film director.
