MUMBAI : Well known Malayalam actress Meera Jasmine who has also been part of Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films, is going through the most tough phase of her life. The actress’s father Joseph Philip has sadly passed away. He was 83 years old and passed away due to age-related issues on 4th April. The Ore Kadal actress shared an emotional post for her father on social media.

Joseph Philip passed away in Ernakulam and his last rites will take place on Sunday. Sharing a series of pictures of her family and her dad on Instagram, Meera captioned it, “Until we meet again…”

Fans and wellwishers flooded the actress’s comment section with messages and condolences. One wrote, “I know Meera this feeling, God bless you strength to overcome," another commented. Another wrote, "May your father's noble soul rest in heavenly peace for eternity. Om shanti”
Meera’s father who was earlier living in Mumbai had relocated in Tirumala and eventually moved to Ernakulum.
Meera who has been part of Malayalam films primarily, has also worked in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films. She gained a lot of recognition for her films like Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam, Ore Kadal, Kasthuri Maan, Achuvinte Amma, Soothradharan, Run among others.
