MUMBAI : Rashmika Mandanna who is one of the most well-known faces in the South Indian industry, has also been part of a couple of Hindi films. The actress is one of the highest paid actresses in India. She reportedly was paid a whopping Rs 4 crores for playing the role of Geetanjali in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.

Rashmika made her debut with Kirik Party in 2016 and has been part of the Indian film industry for the last 8 years. The actress, apart from Hindi films, has been part of Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil films as well.

Rashmika, who celebrates her 28th birthday on 5th April, has been a force to reckon with in the South film industry. Not many would know that Rashmika was once engaged to an actor at the age of 21. There were several rumours regarding why her engagement broke.

Rashmika featured in her debut film Kirik Party with actor Rakshit Shetty. The film that was made on a budget of Rs 4 crores, and did a business of Rs 50 crores. The actress made the audience fall in love with her. During filming, Rashmika got quite close to her co-star Rakshit Shetty and eventually started dating. The duo decided to take their relationship to the next level and got engaged In July 2017.

On their engagement day, while Rashmika was 21, Rakshit was 34 years old. Despite the age gap, the duo seemed madly in love and wished to get married. However, in September 2018, the couple broke off their engagement and cited incompatibility issues as the reason for the break-up. 

There were rumours that after Kirik Party, Rashmika was flooded with film offers and she didn’t want to be bogged down with marriage so soon. Despite having a painful past, Rashmika and Rakshit are reportedly on good terms. There have been rumours lately that Rashmika is in a relationship with actor Vijay Deverakonda.
