MUMBAI: Boney Kapoor has been an ace producer in the Hindi Film industry. Apart from his entertaining films, he is also a doting father to four kids; Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. The producer is making headlines as recently his film Maidaan starring Ajay Devgn hit the big screens and the film is garnering a lot of praise.

Boney has now opened up about his father Surinder Kapoor, brother Anil Kapoor and his struggles in the initial phase of their career. He said, “My father was brought to Bombay by Prithviraj Kapoor. My grandfather handed over my father to Prithviraj ji because my father left about 10-12 jobs. Left, in the sense, he was thrown out because he was siding with and supporting the workers, fought for their causes.”
Boney revealed that his father was living in Raj Kapoor’s outhouse and they had to take over the house responsibilities as their father was not keeping well.
He said, “When my grandmother passed away, Anil and I decided that he will do acting and I will take over the production. Somebody had to run the show at home also. My father had a heart problem; we didn’t want to give him stress.”

Boney who also made his acting debut in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar is currently enjoying the success of his latest release Maidaan that stars Ajay Devgn and PriyaMani. The film is based on Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
