Shark Tank India’s Vineeta Singh REFUTES death rumors and lodges complaint; ‘The hardest part is when folks panic’

Vineeta claimed that for the past five weeks, news about her arrest or death had been in the headlines. She disclosed that despite her complaint being lodged with the Mumbai Crime Branch, the spread of her fake death news had continued.

MUMBAI: Vineeta Singh, the star of Shark Tank India, denied death rumors on her X (formerly known as Twitter) account on Saturday. The businessman posted a screen grab of an article titled “A hard day for India: We say goodbye to Vineeta Singh”. Vineeta claimed that for the past five weeks, news about her arrest or death had been in the headlines. She disclosed that despite her complaint being lodged with the Mumbai Crime Branch, the spread of her fake death news had continued.

“Been dealing with paid PR about my death & my arrest for 5 weeks. Ignored it at first, then reported to @Meta several times, filed @Mum_CyberPolice complaint but it’s not stopping. The hardest part is when folks panic & call my mom Few of the posts are below. Any suggestions?” Vineeta wrote.

Vineeta Singh has been a part of Shark Tank India ever since its first season. The third season of the show was wrapped up recently when Vineeta took to her Instagram handle to share a lively video from the wrap-up party. She also penned down an adorable note expressed gratitude to her fellow sharks. “@sharktank.india season 3 wrap up. So grateful for all that I learnt from the other sharks & dolphins in the tank. Video courtesy: @shirazisanam @shrutydubey,” she wrote.

Season three of Shark Tank India premiered on January 22, 2024. Shark Tank India Season 3 saw the return of several well-known sharks from previous seasons, including Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, Peyush Bansal, co-founder and CEO of Lenskart, Aman Gupta, cofounder of Boat, and Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited.

Amit Jain, the CEO and co-founder of Car Dekho, Ritesh Agarwal, the founder of OYO, Azhar Iqubal, the co-founder and CEO of Inshorts, and Radhika Gupta, the CEO of Edelweiss Capital, joined them on the panel. Ronnie Screwvala, a film producer, just joined the program as well.
