MUMBAI: Korean stars Lee Byung Hun and Son Ye Jin will be seen together in Park Chan Wook’s next thriller titled 'Axe'. It is known that both Korean stars have made a name in the Korean film and TV industry. Ace director Park Chan Wook is the best in his craft of moviemaking. Reportedly, the three of them will begin shooting for 'Axe' soon.
According to a report published by Oldboy, a Korean media outlet, the director is taking auditions for the full cast of his new movie. The report reveals that the shooting will take place in August after the additional stars are finalised.

What will 'Axe' be?
The new thriller will showcase the life of a middle-class man whose job is lost because of his job. When he can't find a new job, he kills his peers who would add a hindrance to his path of success. Lee Byung Hun will be the vindictive man and Son Ye Jin will be the female lead.

It was in 2000 when the Squid Game star teamed up with Park Chan Wook in the movie Joint Security Area. This shall be the second collaboration with the ace director in 20 years. On the flip side, it will be for the first time that Son Ye Jin will be working with Park Chan Wook. 'Axe' is said to be a movie adaptation of Donald E. Westlake, an American writer who had written an acclaimed novel that had the same name. The film reportedly will also be based on the 2005 movie titled 'Ax' which was directed by Spanish director Costa Gavras.
