Sanjeeda Shaikh to Indresh Malik; 7 tv actors of Heeramandi who spread their charm

Here is the list of seven television actors who played a prominent role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s recent series Heermandi.

MUMBAI: Heeramandi, a stunning glamorous series directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been streaming on Netflix. The series consisted of eight episodes and has been getting a generous amount of fabulous reviews for their mind-blowing sets, actors performance, and beautiful music. The web film features Manisha Koirala, Shirmin Sehgal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Richa Chadha, and Sonakshi Sinha in key roles.

While the Bollywood actors worked their magic in the project, there were a few TV actors who got the opportunity to work with the master mind SLB. Take a look at seven TV actors who didn’t add only their charm to the web- film but also added value to it.

1. Sanjeeda Shaikh as Waheeda

Sanjeeda Shaikh played the role of Waheeda in the series. Waheeda as a character was multi dimensional, it was dark, insecure, strong, and vulnerable at the same time and Sanjeeda beautifully aced her part. Sanjeeda had done many roles before on the small screen like Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Love Ka Hai Intezaar, Gehraiyyan and Ek Haseena Thi among others.

2. Shruti Sharma as Saima

Namak iss ka actress Shruti Sharama played the role of Saima who worked as a servant for Mallikajaan. The character is all about Saima's love angle with Iqbal, her friendship with Alamzeb, and her decision to make a major sacrifice for her friend Alam. The actor Shruti Sharma performed beautifully on the web and the audience were definitely interested to know more about the character's future. Shruti has also charmed audiences on the small screen with projects like Gathbandhan, Yeh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka, and Nazar among others.

3. Pratibha Ranta as Shama

Pratibha Ranta had recently made her appearance in Laapata Ladies, the actress started her career with the Zee TV show Qubaan Hua opposite Karan Jothwani. The actress gets praised for her acting performance in the show and she soon took the route towards the big screen and that was Heeramandi. These will surely prove as a stepping stone in Ranta's career. Ranta played the character of Waheeda's daughter Shama. 

4. Indresh Malik as Ustaad Ji

Popular tv actor Indresh Malik is known for his supporting role in the popular Colors TV show Madhubala. Malik played a complex character of a procurer, Ustaadji in the project. From his walk to his style of dialogue delivery,Ustaad added his charm to the web. Indresh seems to have impressed Sanjay Leela Bhansali a little too much, as the actor also bagged a part in Aliaa Bhatt's Gangubai.Ustaad’s character as
 Malik was more prominent than any other roles of his career.

 
5. Pankaj Bhatia as Feroz Sahab

 

Pankaj Bhatia popularly known for his many tv shows like Saavi ki Savari, Devanshi, Havan, played the character of Nawab Feroz Sahab in the movie who was an exclusive customer of Waheeda. However, he eyed her daughter Shama, creating a rift between the mother and daughter.  Later, Shama and Waheeda got back together and trolled Feroz in front of the public. The clip of the scene has been going viral on the internet.

6. Jayati Bhatia as Phatto

Jayati Bhatia played a prominent role as Phatto in Heeramandi. Where the character is all about she is one of the oldest servants of Malikajaan, who was with her from the longest time. However, Photto's loyalty was not valued by Mallikajaan as she turned her back when she needed a favor from her.

7. Jason Shah

Jason Shah grabbed the limelight with his stint in Bigg Boss 10 as a wild-card contestant. Shah played the role of Officer Cartwright in the project that supported Ustaad and Fareedan against Mallikajaan. Here we can say that the actors can prove their skills anywhere despite the medium doesn’t make an actor, it is the talent that holds more prominence.
