Priyanka has produced the latest Prime Video documentary, tilted 'WOMB (Women of My Billion),' shared with the popular news portal, "When my agents told me that we were going to ask for pay parity, even I was surprised. I was like, 'What? No, that doesn't happen in our industry.' And they were like, 'Let's just ask the question.' So, I didn't even know that I had that power."
The actor continued, "I did not know I could aspire for more, because I was desensitised. I was told this is normal."
(Women of My Billion) WOMB is a champion for women's equality. The documentary tells the tale of Srishti Bakshi, who embarked on a 3,800 km walking pilgrimage from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to learn about the trials, aspirations, rights, and triumphs of women facing hardship.
Priyanka highlighted the value of empowering women by giving them a voice telling them what to or not to do. “I think we talk a lot about choice, and giving women agency in their lives is such a powerful thing. I think so many women around the world don't even know they have a choice in their lives because so many choices are made for them," the actor stated.
Priyanka Chopra is currently working on 'Heads of State,' her Hollywood movie. She frequently posts images of herself from the movie sets to social media.
