MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi's show Anupamaa is quite popular. The fan base for it is huge and cray. For more than four years, the program has been running with success. Ever since its launch, it has consistently topped the TRP charts. Vaquar Shaikh, Madalsa Sharma, Alpana Buch, Gaurav Khanna, Sudhanshu Pandey, Rupali Ganguly, and others have received immense appreciation for their roles in the hit show.
Popular characters like Anu, Anuj, Vanraj, Pakhi, Baa, Toshu, Bapuji, and others have gained a lot of recognition. Daily social media posts feature the show's dialogue and plot. The dialogue and characters are the subject of numerous memes. Anupamaa is no less than a blockbuster movie.
Sudhanshu Pandey appears in the show and everyone is aware of how Vanraj Shah and his dialogues are highly renowned. Both in the show and in Anu's life, he is significant. He opened up quite candidly about his experience in the entertainment industry during a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan.
He said that he is from Nainital and had once seen an advertisement where it was said that a model is required for a Bombay-based magazine. He said this was out of his hand but he tried calling on the number to check if he could get a chance. He was then called to Delhi to see if he was worth becoming a model. He was 18 years old back then and his parents easily agreed to this. He went to Delhi and he was immediately asked to do the shoot.
He then went to all ad agencies to distribute his pictures so that he could get a job. He then finally got a job at a suitings campaign. He was paid Rs 25,000 as the salary for his first work in 1994. He had never seen so much money and was very surprised.
His first advertisement happened after he accepted the deal. It was also the period of his first flight and his first project with Ashok Segal. He went on to say that he was frequently complimented on his appearance and face by well-known figures. After appearing in Time magazine's main spread for the first time, he shot to fame as the nation's top model.
He then began hosting fashion events, during which Milind Soman would hold up his face and showcase it to the world. His appearance was deemed flawless by Milind Soman. Within a year, Sudhanshu said, he was everywhere, and he had heard Aishwarya Rai Bachchan expressing him as the next big thing in modeling.
For Sudhanshu, everything was too much, and he is grateful to God. His career in the industry began when he received the Best Model Award in 1995.
