MUMBAI: The entertainment world was left shocked when 37-year-old actress and former air hostess Noor Malabika Das took her own life. On June 6, her body was found in her Lokhandwala, Mumbai, apartment. She hanged herself from the bedroom fan, according to Midday. When nearby residents detected an unpleasant stench coming from the apartment and informed the Oshiwara police, the matter became public.
Noor hailed from Assam’s Karimganj. Her paternal Aunt, Arati Das spoke about the actress’s fragile mental state. She said, “She went to Mumbai with big hopes to become an actress. However, she was fighting hard to achieve this. We understand that Malabika was unsatisfied with her achievements that forced her to take this extreme step.”
had starred in many Hindi films, including Teekhi Chatni, Siskiyaan, Walkaman, Charamsukh, Jaghanya Upaya, Dekhi Andekhi, Backrod Hustale, and more, through the Ullu app and web series. She was seen with Jisshu Sengupta and Kajol in the OTT series The Trail which aired on Amazon Prime.
