MUMBAI: Who would have guessed that a year after introducing a generation leap, the show would take another big step? After the 'time jump' claims started circulating online, fans have been discussing their opinions regarding Bhavika Sharma and Shakti Arora's show.
GHKPM's captivating storyline has helped it to attract a devoted audience. The audience has been captivated by the intense drama, but many are upset with Shakti Arora's replacement. Although the makers didn't think Ishaan and Savi's love story had much potential, fans did. A seven-year gap was included to heighten the tension.
After several weeks of speculations, Shakti Arora exited GHKPM while Hitesh Bharadwaj replaced him as the new lead of the show. Hitesh Bharadwaj and Bhavika Sharma are the new protagonists of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin following the seven-year leap. The makers dropped an intriguing promo to introduce Hitesh Bharadwaj aka Rajat Thakkar. While Bhavika Sharma continues to play the role of Savi, Amayra Khurana is seen as Saisha (Sai).
The trailer made clear that it had been seven years since Ishaan's death. Even though Savi is now a teacher, her equation with Sai attracted attention.
It was Savi's first weird contact with Sai's father, Rajat. Hitesh Bharadwaj shares an update regarding the twist and leap in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. The actor from Udaariyaan expressed his excitement at being a part of the love drama. Considering himself fortunate, he expressed his gratitude for the chance to take part in it.
"I am portraying the character of Rajat Thakkar; he is a businessman who, though stern from the outside, has an emotional side to him as well. For the world, he has showcased a different side; he has a past that he wants to forget. Rajat has a daughter named Saisha ( Sai) whom he loves dearly, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he also detaches himself from her," Hitesh Bharadwaj said in a statement as quoted as saying by the popular news portal.
Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh played the primary leads in the original Ghum Hai Pyaar Kisikey Meiin show. Following a generational shift implemented by the makers, Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma took over roles from them last year.
