In 1996, Kamal Haasan did a superhit movie named Indian wherein he played dual roles. The movie also featured Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Sukanya and many more. Sometime ago, it was announced that there’s going to be Indian 2 and Kamal Haasan will be the lead once again.
The announcement of Indian 2 made the audience excited as they would not just get to watch the sequel to Indian but also get to watch Kamal Haasan in the movie.
The movie will also feature Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Gulshan Grover, SJ Suryah, Simha and many more. Now the movie has finally hit the big screens and while the audience is expressing their opinions, we are here to look at the business aspect of the movie.
On its opening day, the movie collected around Rs 25.60 Cr in India Nett (all languages). If we break down the numbers, the movie collected Rs 16.5 Cr in Tamil, around Rs 1.2 in Hindi and around Rs 8 Cr in Telugu. Meanwhile, the movie collected around Rs 54.6 Cr worldwide.
On day 5, the movie collected around Rs 3 Cr India net (all languages) out of which the collections for Tamil is around Rs 2 Cr, for Hindi is around Rs 4 Cr and Telugu around Rs 0.6 Cr. When talking about the worldwide collection, the movie has earned around Rs 117.45 Cr.
