MUMBAI: Actor Janhvi Kapoor was hospitalized due to food poisoning on July 18. She was discharged from the hospital in a few days. Recently, the actor shared an update about her health and revealed that this was the first time that she was admitted to a hospital. She suffered from a digestive immunity disorder.
While speaking to Times Now, Janhvi shared how her body was "exhausted" as she was working non-stop even before she started promoting her film 'Mr and Mrs Mahi'. Within a month, she shot three songs without taking a break and was rehearsing for the fourth song. Meanwhile, she was also travelling and attending events. "I haven't really had a break," Janhvi said.
Janhvi traveled to Chennai for an event and consumed something "funky" at the airport, all the while her immunity was being undermined. "Initially, we thought it was a stomach bug, but it really wasn't because all of my blood parameters, when they took all of these tests, were all over the place. And after my stomach had settled, it was just body ache and weakness and shivering and shaking and all sorts of things.’ Janhvi said, Janhvi’s liver tests too shocked the doctors. She said, “My liver enzymes and my liver profile were way off, which gave doctors a lot of reason to panic," the 'Dhadak' actor shared. She added, "So for three-four days, essentially, I was just at the hospital, and they were trying to figure out what was wrong with me and why my parameters were so off.”
Having gone through the health concern, Janhvi now knows that one should "listen" to and "respect" their body. The performer is back at work now, but she still feels "quite weak".
