Ranbir Kapoor revealed in the interview that he stopped crying a long time ago. He revealed that he was not even upset by Rishi Kapoor's death. "This is his last night, he is going to go anytime soon," the doctors informed him, adding that he was the one spending the night in the hospital. Then Ranbir remembered that instead of crying, he retreated to a room and experienced a panic attack since he was unable to express himself and it was too much for him to handle.
He added, “But I don’t think I have grieved, understood the loss.”
He also talked about the guilt that came with being apart from Rishi Kapoor. Ranbir talked about his 45-day stay in New York with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor during his medical treatment. The actor from Animal said that when Rishi Kapoor approached him and began to cry, it made him uncomfortable since that's when he realized how far away he was. He added, “I feel guilty that I didn’t have the grace to let go off the distance between us and go and hug him, give him some love.”
