MUMBAI: Having entertained audiences for over 5 months with soul-stirring music, an abundance of cuteness, and melodious voices that won the hearts of the viewers, Sony Entertainment Television’s homegrown children’s singing reality show, Superstar Singer 3, has come to a befitting end. This season distinguished itself by acting as a platform that not only preserved but also built upon the legacy and heritage of Indian music, discovering ‘Sangeet Ke Naye Hunar Jo Banenge Kal Ke Darohar'. In its star-studded finale titled ‘Future Ka Finale’, the wait finally came to an end with a double bonanza as Atharv Bakshi from Jharkhand and Avirbhav S from Kerala were declared as the winners and lifted the coveted trophy of Superstar Singer 3. Along with the trophy, Atharv and Avirbhav were each awarded a cheque of INR 10 lakhs while the remaining 7 finalists who mesmerized audiences through the season received a cheque of INR 1 lakh each.
Right from the auditions, 12-year-old Atharv Bakshi from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, has time and again left everyone spellbound with his soulful voice. His extraordinary talent has garnered immense praise from industry giants, be it Super Judge Neha Kakkar comparing him to the renowned Arjit Singh for his emotional depth and vocal prowess or Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal lauding Atharv for his performance and expressing how the music industry will be proud to have a great singer like him. The legendary Lakshmikant also had goosebumps on hearing Atharv’s version of ‘Patta Patta Butta Butta’ and his beautiful rendition of ‘Humari Adhuri Kahani’ moved Vidya Balan so much that she told her husband and Indian film producer, Siddharth Roy Kapur, to offer a playback singing opportunity to Atharv. But the biggest achievement for the little wonder is that Atharv’s father, who never wanted his son to pursue music, is now filled with pride as his son lifted the coveted trophy.
The show’s ‘chota packet bada dhamaka’ - Avirbhav S from Kochi, Kerala, captured the nation's heart with his infectious charm and extraordinary talent. The young prodigy's dedication and stage presence were far beyond his age and height, leaving the judges astounded with each performance. From Udit Naryana calling him ‘the most beautiful chand’ for his performance of ‘Chand Chupa Badal Mein’ to Geeta Kapur calling him ‘Saat Suron Ka Shehzada’, Avirbhav carved a special niche for himself in everyone’s heart. Avirbhav's versatility extended beyond his singing, as he effortlessly slipped into the role of a host, adding another feather to his cap. Undoubtedly, his win is a testament to his exceptional talent and unwavering spirit.
