MUMBAI: Arjun Singh Dalal is known for his role in the Star Plus' TV show ‘Namah’.
He also earned accolades for portraying the character of 'Karan' in the mega theatre play ‘Mahabharata’ and was also seen in Colors TV's popular show ‘Mahakali Anth Hi Arambh Hai’. Currently he is a part of ‘Nath - Zevar Ya Zanjeer’ on Dangal TV.
The show was retitled as Nath: Krishna Aur Gauri Ek Kahani a while ago and stars Aalisha Panwar, Chahat Pandey, Arjun Singh Dalal and Ishita Ganguly in the leading roles.
Arjun plays a pivotal role in the show. In an exclusive conversation with Arjun, he shed light on facing rejections, his struggle period and the characters he aspired to play.
Arjun shares, “I have been rejected a lot of times and there have also been times when I have been rejected without even being given a chance but then again there have been some flaws and wherever required, I have tried to rectify and improvise myself as well. I believe in hard work and I have learnt that from my dad.
There was a show for which I was rejected titled Life Okay Koi Na Roke. Everything was finalised and then later, there was some problem due to which the show could not come on-air. Now it has been a long journey, it has been 10 years.
I wanted to do something where I get to explore my talent and hence I took a good break of three to four years. I was getting offers but nothing in particular which would interest me. Fortunately, I had the hold and patience to wait for the right project.”
Speaking about the kind of roles he wants to pursue, Arjun shared, “I like exploring my talent and taking new challenges. I would love to play a grey character and there is no compulsion that I want to necessarily play a hero only. Any character which gives me an opportunity to grow is something I would be willing to take up.”
