Sneha Raikar: My best friends are my husband and my son

MUMBAI : A best friend is someone who does not judge you, and actor Sneha Raikar says that her best friend is her immediate family – her husband and her son. The actress, who is seen as Shubha Jadhav in Rahul Tewary & Rolling Tales Production’s Udne Ki Aasha, says that friendship is very important to her.

“Having a friendly atmosphere around you is very important, both on and off the screen. It's great to have friends at work and in your personal life. I have many friends in the industry, but my best friends are my husband and my son. A best friend is someone who isn't judgmental, someone who accepts you despite your mistakes. They give you honest feedback and advice without being overly critical,” she says.

She adds, “While my best friends are my husband and son, as they are the people I can always turn to without judgment, having close friends in general is crucial. True friends are not just for fun and laughter; they're people you can count on. A best friend can be anyone—your partner, a sibling, a parent, or a colleague. The key is that they are someone you can rely on. Having best friends in your life is essential because it frees your mind from burdens and helps you avoid feelings of depression and frustration. True friendship goes beyond just having a good time; it's about having someone who supports you and makes life better. When your mind is free and you have people you can trust, you can think more clearly, concentrate better, and truly enjoy life.”

Ask her who is her best friend at work, and she says, “In terms of friends at work, I've made some good ones. There's no age limit to friendship, and I've formed close bonds with people Neha, Sahil, and Pari. We share a lot, not just about acting, but about life in general. On set, I've had best friends with whom I've shared a strong bond and good understanding. For example, Shweta Rastogi and I became good friends while working together. We shared our makeup room and talked about everything, from work to personal life. Even after the show ended, we stayed in touch, and though we don't meet daily, we're connected through phone calls and social media. Sometimes we make time to catch up despite our busy schedules.”
