MUMBAI: Recently, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's personal life has drawn attention. There were many rumors that she and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, were having marital problems. This was stoked after she showed up at the Ambani wedding sans her husband and his family, just her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
The actress has, however, previously stated that she didn't want to change who she was in order to land specific roles in the movie business. She had also mentioned how much she admired Hema Malini and her current mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan, citing their current level of respect.
An old interview with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was unearthed by a Reddit user, and in it, the actress articulated her desire to emulate Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan in a very compelling way. The Devdas actress declared that she would not "shed" her image by changing her appearance and that she was content with the assignments that have come her way as a result of her reputation. Aishwarya added that she is happy regardless of whether she gets hired in the future for this reason. The actress stated that she would be "embarrassed" to watch her in a particular role by her spouse, child, and in-laws.
She expressed her desire to be treated with the same dignity as Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan, who are highly regarded due to their impressive filmography. She went on to say that while Zeenat Aman's existence is significant, she would love to be treated with the same reverence and admiration as Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan added that although her fame may wane in ten years, her family life will endure forever.
