Recently, Mohit Parmar took to social media, calling out the person behind this disgusting act. Take a look at the pictures below:

Now we got Mohit Parmar first where we asked him to talk about the incident. Mohit Parmar said, “I have a friend, Prerna Thakur. She texted me that this has happened. She told me that there is a casting director from Skyline Spree Production who have a Whatsapp group. So Prerna got a casting text that there is a Saree shoot in Bandra with 20 changes and you will get around Rs 40k so Prerna sent her requirement and asked if she fits or not. To that, he replied that it’s a compromise work. So Prerna said you only do it, I won’t be compromising. The guy jokingly texted something and later he texted again. Then my friend texted him saying ‘How can you talk to a girl like that for casting couch.’ He then texted Prerna saying that he will ruin her and her friend’s life, won’t let you have an acting job anywhere. So Prerna told me all these things and I thought that this is more than just casting couch because first he is asking to compromise and then when he was confronted that he is doing something wrong, he is threatening her. I thought this was important for all to know because if he is talking to my friend like this, he must be talking to so many other women like this. His name is Prem Malhotra and I had shared his number too but now the number is showing dead.”

When asked what he has to say about such incidents, Mohit Parmar said, “Look at what’s happening in Bengal. A girl got ra#ed. So I think how can people say such things so upfront, how do they have such audacity in the industry? I mean, she is doing the work for you so just pay her. Why would you put this compromise in between? And he is saying this so upfront. He must have done this to so many other girls and people just stay quiet.”

Talking further, Mohit Parmar said, “I think there should be really good law for women and I’m not saying this for just industry related incident but all over the country so that any person who has bad intentions towards any woman, his soul should shake. Women who have suffered through these things should come forward so that the criminals don’t do this again with any other woman. There are many such casting directors in the industry and there are also coordinators who approach girls and even guys in this way. I think people who are facing this should come forward so that people think 20 times before doing such a thing. Even when you confront them, they threaten you. These people should be boycotted. So I think people should come together to clean the industry.”

We also got in touch with Prerna Thakur who said, “This isn’t the first time something like this has happened and I’m very sure that such a thing must be happening with all the girls at least once in their life. Some talk about it while some stay silent. Even I used to ignore it thinking how does it matter but it matters. It is important to speak up. They win when we ignore and then it gets normalized to ask this way so I thought it’s enough, I don’t want to normalize this thing. Now it’s time to take a stand against this. After I put up that story, I got to know about many other friends of mine and their friends that he has talked with them in a similar way, have asked money for project, and many other things have come out in the open. So once you speak up, many others also stand with you.”

Adding further, she said, “I would like to say that we should not ignore this and not let this get normalized as it’s important to teach these people a lesson. Only then, will these people understand and things will get better. One more thing I would like to add is that on the initial stage, we actors have compromised a lot, our family, our house, our relations, even sacrificed financially and we are on survival mode. On top of that, there are people like these who tell us to compromise on our dignity, treat us as an object. Why is it so easy to ask such a question of compromise? Why are they not fearful? Because there is no strict action. If the laws become strong they might think about the consequences and then things might be different.”
