MUMBAI : Filmmaker Karan Johar left fans wondering if everything is right with him after posting a cryptic note on Instagram. He talked about never going back to less in his note. This is in response to another cryptic note he sent a few days prior regarding being "hurt" and having "expectations from people."

This is interesting because it happened a month after Karan Johar disclosed his relationship status, saying he has been single for a while and is not looking for a partner at this moment.

During a conversation with Faye D'souza, KJo revealed that he has only been in "one and a half relationships" in his life. He also noted that although he actively looked for companionship in his 40s, he stopped doing so after he turned 50.

“I am single and haven’t been in a relationship for a very long time. In fact, I have been in one and a half relationships in my entire life. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy my single status. I don’t think I can change it now. Forget sharing a bathroom or bedroom or your space or schedule, I think the power of your day is with you. Your responsibility is to your children and your mom, that’s about it,” Karan said.

“I did feel the vacuum when I turned 40, but when I turned 50, I felt like I didn’t want it. I am not blocking it, but now I don’t see it happening actively. I have gone through agencies, blind date situations, and met people in the country, and out of the country, now if I find it well and good, I don’t feel the need for it at all,” he added.

Johar frequently posts mysterious notes on his Instagram account. He is now in Melbourne for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. The director also wrote a cryptic open letter to an ‘exhausted human being’ last year, who wants to pay compliments to someone.  “Dear exhausted human being… A warning! Each time you compliment someone starting with SO….. You will be expected to end with a WOW,” he wrote.

“This is dangerous and can have repercussions in the future. So please alter your verbal compliments. Love, a disgruntled trend wannabe,” he concluded. It was unclear if Johar was addressing the letter to his followers or to a specific person.
