MUMBAI: The well-known television actor Mohsin Khan is well-known in the industry, is now a household name. In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the attractive actor portrayed Kartik Goenka, and his endearing nature won over millions of hearts.
Mohsin received a great deal of praise and recognition for his role in the show. The actor disclosed that he was offered a different character to portray in the show in an interview with the popular news portal. This is how he was able to land the show's Kartik character.

According to Mohsin in an interview, no one is aware that Kartik Goenka had an older brother who featured in the show. He mentioned that he did his first practice shot with the older brother of Kartik and Naira. Mohsin went on to say that Naira and Kartik's older brother were involved in the first mock shoot.
He was informed about the two characters: Kartik was a cute and bubbly guy, and his older brother was a severe man who had returned from a foreign country and hated his father. According to Mohsin, he felt a stronger connection with Kartik and decided to give an audition for him.
The actor went on to say that he received a call from Yeh Rishta's team, who insisted that he took part in a mok shoot in the role of Kartik's older brother. Mohsin said that he wanted to play Kartik's role irrespective of whether he would be the lead or not. He claimed that subsequently, the elder brother's portion of the script was cut out of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and the narrative was centered around Kartik and Naira.
Mohsin revealed how he ended up in the Kartik role. He claimed to have chopped off a significant portion of his hair after finishing the Dream Girl filming. He mentioned that the Yeh Rishta team was still taking auditions, but he didn't think he should have short hair. They were still holding auditions after four to five months, that's when he went to the mokshoot and got to know Rajan Sir.
For Mohsin, Kartik's character will always hold a special place. Audiences fell in love with him and Shivangi Joshi, as Naira, because of their on-screen relationship. All of their fans still treasure their love tale.
