MUMBAI: Star Plus’ latest show, 'Jhanak', features Hiba Nawab in the titular role of Jhanak, Krushal Ahuja as Anirudh, and Chandani Sharma as Arshi. Earlier, Jhanak returned to Kolkata to reveal her pregnancy to Anirudh. According to her, Anirudh is the father of her unborn child. Everyone in the family along with Anirudh gets startled by Jhanak’s claims. However, he refuses her claims, and he tries to convince Arshi not to trust Jhanak this time.
Now, Jhanak is adamant about her claims and tells him even though he turns evil, the truth can not be changed. She reveals that whatever happened between them in Srinagar can not be changed leaving the Bose Family shattered.
When Anjana asks Jhanak about how she will raise a baby alone. Jhanak tells her that she knows how difficult it is to survive in this world as being an illegitimate child and she does not want her child to go through such a bad phase therefore she wants the baby’s father Anirudh’s name.
She even threatens that if he does not agree easily, she will do a DNA test after the birth of the baby. This left everyone stunned.
