MUMBAI: Undoubtedly, the unexpected death of Sushant Singh Rajput left a void in many people's hearts that is still felt by those who knew him well. Actor Arjun Bijlani recently discussed his relationship with Sushant on the podcast featuring Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa.

Thinking back on their friendship, Arjun shared how much Sushant's sudden death affected him. “I remember when Sushant passed away, I cried so much because we used to live in the same building. We partied together frequently and would visit each other’s houses,” Arjun shared.

Arjun also disclosed that he still keeps a piece of Sushant close to him literally. He revealed, “We used to exchange our T-shirts. I still have Sushant’s orange baniyan (vest) with me, which we swapped.”

When asked by Bharti if he knew Sushant in his early days, Arjun recalled about their good times together. He stated, “I remember when he bought his new sports bike. He called me, took me for a ride, and I still have the photo from that day.” Arjun fondly recalled these moments, mentioning how he and his wife Neha Swami often think of Sushant with a smile, and how songs from Sushant’s films bring back memories. Arjun admitted that “Namo Namo” is one of his favourite songs, often playing it to reminisce.

Arjun also discussed his friendship with the late actor Sidharth Shukla, another well-known person who passed away too soon, in the same podcast. “Sidharth and I were very good friends when we used to do modeling. We were part of the same group. I’ve known him since he lived in Mumbai Central and I was in Mahim,” Arjun shared. Recalling a recent encounter before Sidharth’s passing, Arjun mentioned, “We ran into each other at a chemist. We ended up talking for half an hour about old times. Just a month later, I got the news of his passing.”

Arjun continued by claiming he still uses the present tense when discussing Sidharth., “Sidharth is very sweet. I always say ‘is’ because he’s still that person to me.”

In addition to Bharti Singh as the host, Arjun Bijlani is currently a contestant on the reality show Laughter Chefs, which also stars Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Jannat Zubair, Reem Shaikh, and Nia Sharma.
