MUMBAI : Yo Yo Honey Singh is a singer-rapper with a quite contentious past. Honey has been in the news a lot lately, mostly for the negative reasons—substance abuse in particular. Honey Singh had admitted going into rehab after discussing it in a podcast last year. The singer had even acknowledged leaving Satan worship. Honey spoke about his problems with drug addiction and how they had damaged his family. He also mentioned how this nearly caused him to divorce Shalini Talwar.
In a recent interview, Honey Singh spoke about how his divorce didn’t really affect him emotionally. He said, “Meri dawaai kum hui and uske baad main theek hua. Mere ko nahi affect kiya kuch bhi “
He in fact said after the split from Shalini his health started getting better.
He added, “Jab mera separation hua, uske baad main theek hona shuru hua hu, uske baad meri dawaai kum hui hai.”
He compared it to seeing the world for the first time in seven years. The rapper declined to provide any more information on the split, citing a mutual agreement with his ex-wife that forbids them from discussing each other in public.
The singer of Chaar Bottle Vodka talked about his personal bond with Sonakshi Sinha, an actress. He remembered that they had a long talk about marriage during the time they were filming in Los Angeles. He confided in her at the time since he was having problems in his own marriage.
Even though she wasn't married at the time, Sonakshi offered her opinions on what marriage really meant. Singh commended her maturity, pointing out that she had a profound grasp of relationships even at a young age. He went on to say that he was truly glad for her when she eventually got married, remembering their talk.
